The first winner of an interactive radio quiz on information and communication technology (ICT), which was conducted as a part of the radio project "Taraqqiyot Sari" on the radio station Uzbegim Taronasi, 101 FM, has been determined; it is Avazhon Ilmuradov, a listener from the Bektemir district of Tashkent, a catering employee. more
19/08/2010 : Protecting dairy cows against temperature stress and effective crop rotation
Extreme climatic conditions and hot summers, typical to Uzbekistan, cause temperature stress in dairy cows and reduce their milk production, at the same time, efficient protection against extremely high and low temperatures allows to maintain productivity – this was the main focus of the seminar held for farmers, dehkans and livestock specialists by a UNDP project. more
19/08/2010 : Forage crops as an instrument of effective land management
“Forage crops as an instrument of effective land management” was held by the joint project of the United Nations Development Programme, Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources (MAWR) of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Israeli Agency for International Development Cooperation MASHAV “Support for Sustainable Development of Livestock Sector in Uzbekistan”. Issues of crop rotation and use of forage crops against land degradation have been discussed in the seminar, conducted by prominent specialists in the area of ecology, agriculture and livestock. more
